Unhappy With ClickFunnels? Here’s How to Cancel ClickFunnels Account

Maybe you’re unsatisfied with the program, or perhaps you don’t want to get billed after your ClickFunnels free trial.

Better yet, maybe you’ve found a great alternative.

Whatever your reason may be, you’re surely wondering about this question at the back of your mind: how to cancel ClickFunnels account.

Well, canceling your ClickFunnels account is relatively easy to do. We have the easy steps outlined below.

First Up: Why Do Some Subscribers Want to Cancel Their Account?

We’ve touched on some of the reasons above.

But to put things into better perspective, here are some of the biggest dealbreakers that ClickFunnels clients have experienced:

Dislike in the Program

ClickFunnels is good. It works.

Unfortunately, some just can’t get the hang of it.

Some may find it hard to use, while others view its email reminders as too spammy.

So what do you do when you dislike them? You try to get rid of them ASAP.

Why would you pay for something you barely use, anyway?

Lack of Product or Service

Some customers signed up for ClickFunnels because they were allured by the upsell. It was just later on that they realized that they had no product or service for it!

Talk about a wrong move.

Lack of Interest in Sales Funnels

Sales funnels are exceptional, and they work! However, some find them uninteresting or troublesome.

Sadly, these people think that canceling their ClickFunnels account is the way to go. Little did they know that maybe, all they needed was a dedicated person who could successfully manage their funnels.

There’s Something Better

One of the top reasons we leave one program is that we’ve found something better.

Simply put, why would you settle with ClickFunnels if there’s a superior software out there?

Some clients, for example, have found KLEQ better and easier to use. ClickFunnels takes practice, making it a boon for busy business people.

It’s also more expensive, for its Platinum plan will set you back $267 a month. KLEQ, on the other hand, offers a top-tier program for an affordable $197 a month.

If you want to know more about this affordable ClickFunnels alternative, then make sure to read below!

How to Cancel Your ClickFunnels Account

Okay, so your decision is final. You want to cancel your ClickFunnels subscription for good.

Well, the first thing you need is to visit the ClickFunnels membership site. Once there, make sure to follow the steps involved:

  1. Go to the ClickFunnels login page.
  2. Click on your profile icon located at the top right corner of the screen. This will open a drop-down menu.
  3. Select Account Settings.
  4. Select Account Billing tab. You’ll find this on the left-hand side of the screen.
  5. Click on the Cancel Account tab. You’ll find this option under Account Billing & Subscription.
  6. A survey will pop up. Make sure to state the reason/s why you want to cancel ClickFunnels. You can choose your answer from any of these given options:
    1. Bugs/support problems
    2. Couldn’t set up an email or domain
    3. Missing features
    4. Not using it much (or at all)
    5. Too pricey
    6. Never onboarded/figured out how to use it
    7. Closing shop
    8. Other
    9. Billing issues/help
  7. To move on, you will need to answer the rest of the survey questions:
    1. The solution you plan on using (KLEQ, for example) after canceling your account
    2. The likelihood of you reactivating your ClickFunnels account
    3. Anything you’d like to share about your ClickFunnels experience
  8. Scroll down to the bottom of your Account dashboard. Tick the box before the statement: “I understand that I will lose my subdomain, all of my customers, all of my leads, all of my pages, and all of my funnels.” After doing this, you can click on the option to cancel your ClickFunnels account.
  9. A prompt will ask you to confirm the cancellation. All you need to do is type the word “Confirm” on the text box provided.

Once you’ve canceled your subscription, your ClickFunnels account shouldn’t be charged for the next period. That said, you may get a charge alert if you fail to cancel your account at least ten days from the billing date.

Should this happen, make sure to contact its parent company Etison LLC to get your refund.

How to Pause Your ClickFunnels Account

Perhaps account cancellation seems too drastic for you. Or maybe, you’d want something to get back to after a quick online hiatus.

For this, your best option is to pause your ClickFunnels account. Just remember: this Pause Account plan will cost you some money ($9.99, to be exact).

The upside to pausing your subscription plan? You won’t lose your domains, pages, contacts, and sales funnels even if you don’t use them for quite some time.

On the downside, you cannot edit them while your account is paused.

If you’re amenable to this limitation, then here’s what you need to do:

  1. Log into your ClickFunnels account.
  2. Select Account Billing.
  3. Click on the Cancel Account tab.
  4. Confirm by clicking on the Cancel Account button.
  5. State why you want to cancel your ClickFunnels account on the survey. The same reasons stated above will appear.
  6. Click on the Pause ClickFunnels account option.

Downgrading or Upgrading Your ClickFunnels Account

Say you don’t want to cancel your account, but you don’t want to pause it either because of the cost.

Is there a middle ground for someone like you? Well, there is.

One option you ought to consider is downgrading your ClickFunnels subscription.

See, the ClickFunnels Platinum account is quite costly. While it has some robust features, such as unlimited funnels and pages, you may not necessarily need that much. This is often the case if you run a small business or have seasonal launches.

The good news is you can deduct a whopping $200 from your ClickFunnels account. All you need to do is downgrade your Platinum plan into the Standard one.

This entry-level plan only costs $97 a month, which is why it has a limited number for the following:

  • Funnels – 20
  • Pages – 100
  • Sub-users – 1
  • Payment gateways and domains – 3 each

Compared to the Platinum plan, this standard account doesn’t have follow-up funnels and weekly peer review hackathons, to name a few.

If you’re okay with letting the Platinum features go, here’s what you need to do to downgrade your account:

  1. Go to your profile page.
  2. Click on the Account Billing option.
  3. Scroll down the page to choose the lower/standard plan.

On the other hand, if you want to upgrade your account, the same steps apply.

Word to the wise: An abrupt downgrade or upgrade may lead to a proration period. That means the cost will be increased or decreased immediately, but the billing date will not change. Worse, you may not be eligible to get a refund for this prorated amount.

To get the ultimate bang for your buck, change your plan after the billing date has elapsed.

Reactivating your ClickFunnels Subscription

If you’ve changed your mind after canceling your ClickFunnels account, you can still reactivate it.

Remember: this should be done within 30 days of the cancelation. This ensures that all your sales funnels are still within the system.

If you go beyond 30 days, you may lose access to all your previous files, landing pages, and other marketing collateral. Of course, this won’t be a problem if you’ve only paused your account.

Once you’ve decided to reactivate your ClickFunnels account, what you need to do is log in to the membership page and pick your preferred subscription plan.

You don’t have to re-encode your payment details if you have a card saved on file. ClickFunnels will charge this card automatically for the first month.

Deleting Your ClickFunnels Subscription

On the other hand, you may be considering the total opposite of reactivating your account: deleting it.

Well, the caveat here is that you won’t be able to do this on the membership page. You will need to cancel your account first, then send them an email to get your account deleted.

The excellent news is requesting account deletion is easy. Here are the steps:

  1. Open the email account that’s linked to your ClickFunnels subscription.
  2. Open the compose email tab and direct your message to compliance@clickfunnels.com.
  3. Type “Request to delete my account” on the subject field.
  4. Proceed with writing your account deletion request. It will also help to include why you want it deleted.

Tip: if you have an annual subscription, make sure to send a request at least ten days early. If not, ClickFunnels will still charge you for the following year.
